Dental care

Dental disease is one of the most common problems we see in dogs and cats, and one of the easiest to miss at home. An oral examination is part of every wellness visit.

Questions

Common questions

Why does dental cleaning need an anaesthetic?
A thorough cleaning includes the surfaces below the gumline and dental imaging, which cannot be done safely or comfortably in an awake pet.
How do I know if my pet has dental pain?
Many pets keep eating despite significant dental disease. Bad breath, dropping food, pawing at the mouth or reduced chewing are worth a check.
