Caring for senior pets: comfort, monitoring and quality of life

Older pets rarely tell you they are uncomfortable. They show you, quietly.

Slowing down is not simply age. Reluctance on stairs, changes in sleep, altered drinking, weight change and new irritability are all worth investigating.

Senior care is mostly about monitoring and small adjustments: comfortable bedding, traction on slippery floors, weight control, pain management where appropriate, and more regular check-ins.

Bring your observations to appointments. What you notice at home is often the most useful information we get.
